The Mystical Land of Mary Magdalene
The legends of Mary Magdalene’s life in France after Jesus’ resurrection and the only remaining pages of her Gospel leave us a mystery trail that can only be found through the “Eye of the Heart”—or in Mary Magdalene’s words “the Nous.”
The sacred feminine has been flattened by modern Christianity into an impossible polarity between the Virgin Mother and the Whore archetypes, leaving both men and women with little access to the wild and vast qualities of the Great Goddess in her entirety.
Our journey begins here. We pick up where Christianity has left us, at the forsaken crossroads of the Mother and Whore—here we find Mary Magdalene—the biblically maligned prostitute—who was in truth, The Apostle of the apostles— the first witness of the Resurrection, and the Teacher to the apostles. It was Mary Magdalene alone who saw Christ arisen and announced The Good News. As we begin to unravel the distortions of a Church and religion that has dis-empowered women, we begin to see the story of a remarkable woman. One whose devotion to the Divine, to her friend, and beloved companion —Jesus Christ—lead her to be one of the most realized and powerful spiritual leaders of her era.
With the few pages of her Gospel that have survived time and censorship, and the Legends of her journey after the resurrection—we join Mary Magdalene in the south of France where it is said she landed after fleeing Alexandria, Egypt.
You are invited on a living pilgrimage into the mysteries of the Holy Grail—Sangreal—the holy bloodline of the feminine within you and Mary Magdalene.
Our pilgrimage is based in the Languedoc region where we will spend 5 nights at a retreat center and one night at a French castle. This pilgrimage is for women who desire a restful, spacious retreat filled with magic, ceremony, embodiment practices and community. We have a wonderful itinerary planned with visits to sacred caves, churches, springs and more.
